The company

A software company, built in Accra

Nobicel Ltd designs and engineers the digital infrastructure Ghanaian institutions and businesses depend on — and we do it from here, with people who understand how the work actually gets done.

Why we exist

The gap was never the technology

A building permit that takes six months is not slow because nobody has heard of a database. It is slow because four agencies review the same file in sequence, each rebuilding the context the last one had, with no shared record and no way for the applicant to see where it sits.

That pattern repeats — in land administration, in health records, in justice, in payroll. Nobicel Ltd was founded to close it: to build systems that carry the record between the people who need it, prove what happened, and stay fast for the person at the counter.

What we hold to

Our principles, in Adinkra

We name our commitments with symbols from the Adinkra tradition. Each one below is a standard we are trying to meet, with its meaning stated plainly.

AdinkraheneLeadership and greatness

Build like it matters

A permit, a payslip, a patient record and a land title are not features. Someone is waiting on the other side of each one, and we build with that person in mind.

Hwe Mu DuaQuality, excellence, scrutiny

Hold the work to scrutiny

We write systems expecting an auditor, a regulator or a journalist to look inside them one day. That expectation makes the work better, not slower.

FihankraSecurity and safety

Protect what we are trusted with

Health records, payroll and identity data carry real consequences when handled carelessly. Access is enforced, actions are logged, and nothing is shared that does not need to be.

SankofaLearn from what came before

Learn from what already works

Ghanaian institutions have processes refined over decades. We study them before replacing them, and we keep what earned its place.

NkyinkyimInitiative, dynamism, adaptability

Design for how things really are

Intermittent connectivity, shared devices, mobile money and paper fallbacks are the operating conditions here — not edge cases to be handled later.

NkonsonkonsonUnity and human relations

Leave capability behind

We would rather train the team that inherits a system than be indispensable to it. Documentation and handover are part of delivery, not an extra.

The team’s record

How the team got here

2024

The team forms in Accra

Three engineers and operators start building together, on the conviction that the systems Ghanaian institutions run on should be built here, by people who understand the process being replaced.

2024

First enterprise workforce platform

HR and payroll for a largely field-based workforce — rostering across sites, attendance captured on site, and statutory deductions applied automatically. It became the foundation of everything we later built for payroll.

2025

The public-sector practice begins

District permitting, land allocation with GPS boundary capture, and public infrastructure fund accountability across the districts — the first platforms designed around multi-agency handover rather than a single office.

2025

Identity, health and justice at national scale

A health record opened by national ID under patient consent, a case record shared across the institutions that touch it, and personnel verification tied to a payroll control. The work that taught us how much of this is a trust problem.

2026

Nobicel Ltd is incorporated

Registered with the Registrar-General's Department on 29 May 2026 (CS113710526), consolidating the team's work under one company with a seat in Tse Addo, Accra.

2026

Payroll enters pilot, and we close the shop window

The payroll platform goes to pilot with automatic statutory calculation and disbursement across bank and mobile-money rails. We also stop publishing our platforms, and move to demonstrating them privately under NDA.
